Koke stands for Knowledge, Options, Clarity and Empowerment. We built it because looking for a payday loan usually means being rushed, and the sites that rank for it rarely tell you what a loan will cost or whether the lender is even allowed to lend to you.
What does Koke do?
We list payday lenders that hold licences in Canadian provinces and check those licences against provincial registries. We show the cost of borrowing in dollars and as an annual rate, put cheaper options next to every list, and write plain-language pages on each province’s rules and 25 Canadian cities.
What doesn’t Koke do?
Koke isn’t a lender or a loan broker. We don’t approve anyone or set rates. Applications started on Koke go to our matching partner, LeadScout, which passes them to lenders that fit your answers; those lenders make every decision. We never ask for your SIN, online-banking password, bank account number or ID photos.
How does Koke make money?
Lenders can pay for featured or sponsored spots, and our matching partner LeadScout may pay us when you apply through Koke. Every paid spot is labelled, and money never changes a rating. Read the full disclosure.
